Google's Editorial Summary
Google automatically generates an "Editorial Summary" for every business. This summary cannot be directly edited by the business owner.

Google does not allow customers to edit this information through the Google Business Profile. For more details, you can refer to the Google Business Profile help article on editorial summaries here.
How to request a change to the Editorial Summary
To request a change to your editorial summary, you need to contact Google Support directly and ask them to update it.
While some businesses have had success with Google accepting their suggested changes, others have received a refreshed description from Google without direct input from the business owner.
Checkle's Controlled Description
Within the Business Information tab in Checkle for Business, you can control the longer description of your business.
On your Google Business Profile, this description is typically found near the bottom. This section is more focused on technical SEO, whereas the "Editorial Summary" provides a quick overview for customers.
